Why membership, and why now
Across the globe we are finalising major regional distribution contracts. While this is essential for scaling cyclodextrin research into mainstream channels, commercial exclusivity has a hard consequence: once a territory agreement is signed, we are legally prohibited from selling directly to retail customers in that country.
This is already the reality in the United Kingdom. The same contracts are now closing in other markets. When they do, direct supply ends.
There is only one legal solution: a pre-existing membership agreement that predates the distributor contracts. Under commercial law these earlier obligations can be carved out and grandfathered. We cannot backdate them later.
